Going back home to Ohio allowed me to get to the root and core of who I am. The trips to Ohio also gave me the strength and confidence to pursue my purpose without apologizing. The creative juices were in full flow and swing, and I felt inspired again. This newfound self-assurance and enthusiasm did not happen overnight. Over two years, making these trips from my home in Atlanta, GA, to my birth home Columbus, Ohio, was part of the process. What process are you working through? There were times in my life when it seemed everywhere I turned was a brick wall. Now I can say with joy that I see an opportunity. I can see because I have freed myself of access baggage, and I can clearly hear the Highest speaking to me and faithfully taking steps as he lights my path. I realize He and I are working on the same team, and no weapons formed against me shall prosper. My due diligence is staying faithful because you don't know how big the vision is. Still, whenever I think of how significant the impact will be, I just have to remind myself to trust. What goals do you have that are lying dormant?
You know a little more about how this confidence and strength came about, but who is the Shero I spoke of in my previous blog? The Shero is someone who has the power to help women all over embrace their beauty. The Shero is kind and has a listening ear when you need it. The Shero can manifest confidence with sheers and comb. The Shero does not judge but builds up those around her to see the best version of themselves. That Shero's name is Hairo, and she possesses the qualities and superpowers I hope each family, friend, client, and individual I meet can feel through me. Hairo is my alter ego, who slays on the daily all types of hair, who cares about your smile, who will save the day when it didn't seem like there was no hope for that crown. Hairo is the inspiration behind my Hair Care line REE LE' HAIRO or Ree the Hairo. Hairo doesn't fly to the rescue. She rolls in, wearing her roller skates. If you know me personally, roller skating is one of my favorite things, so it was only fitting for Hairo to wear roller skates. Her cape is made up of black hair with green highlights on the tip. Green, my favorite color, is also known as the color of life, growth, freshness, harmony, and other beautiful associations. Around her thigh, she wears her sheers reminiscent of the golden sheers I won long ago during a Hair Show. Her belt includes some REE LE' HAIRO products and a blow dryer. She is ready to make you look and feel you're most beautiful.
